Alright guys:

I bought a knock off front and rear CTR ABS plastic lip. Have any of you bought one?
I painted them, tried to install them. Rear fits perfect. Front is a bitch. Went to SonicBoom Motorsports, here in New Orleans to see if they can help me. We tried, but it is coming up 1/4'' short on each side. One side cracked a little bit...they said that they installed somebefore, but had to get a bodyshop to cut the bumper. WTF. I dont feel like going through that trouble.

I know I should have never bought a replica, so dont say " REAL CTR" dont feel like hearing that, I just want help with my problem...


So, How did you guys get your front lip to fit?

 

it is a 00 civic hatchback...sorry

 

completely center the lip on the bumper so there are equal lengths on both sides to wrap around.

 

you buy off ebay?..does it mount on the bottom to? or just the sides? pics would be nice to

It is an ebay lip...*looks down in regret*
but it can be mounted from the bottom and the sides...

I already lined it up with the center and tried to wrap it around and pull it up...still short

 

post the name of the seller on EBAY....to prevent any others from having the same problem...and if its from Ebay......why dont u ask the seller for a refund?...

 

I ordered two lips from ebay..I had the same problem. I thought my CTR lip was short too till I got pissed and drilled on side on first and bend the lip just barely enough to screw in...I didn't crack it either amazingly

 

yes post the seller, we should have a list or something

 

Mine was a super tight fit too but to make it easy leave it out in the sun for a while to loosen up or try a hairdryer. It should made it a bit more flexible and easy to work with.

heat the lip up with a hair dryer or heat gun, but don't leave it on there to long. Thats all I can think of.
