Sound Dampning/Proofing/Deadning A Gen 3 Integra
I cant stand it anymore. After riding in my Uncles BMW everything as so quiet, then back to my teggy and its like noise city. I mainly want to prevent the little rattles that my door speakers make. The sound of sand/gravel hitting the wheel wells when you driving slow and my trunk lid (while driving) and rear bumper ratlle (While the kicker comp vr's are turned up.
I would like to use Dynamat Xtremem but it's kind of pricey. On ebay there is some stuff called R-Blox and it looks pretty good. I may use it. Where are the key places to put it for the best sound dampning/deadning.

well Im not integ, but since its like my civic, in a way.. Ill say first and formost, all over the door (inside skin, and the outside skin, as in door panel that you wash on the outside of the car)... Please let me know how it goes. Im probably going to do it when I have money, but for some reason I am getting 600$ worth of college books.. used... before taxes in 2 weeks...
after doors, I hear the trunk compartment makes a lot of road noise for cars, dont know how though, ask someone else.

i just deadened my 00 ITR last week. dynamat xtreme is a very expensive product. it can be replaced by other products that arent so expensive. im not saying that the other products are just as good, as dynamat xtreme is an awesome deadner.
i used something from lowe's in the roofing department. it was called jiffy seal. a very popular alternative would be peel n seal. i would have used peel n seal instead of jiffy seal, but my local home depot did not have it.
i also used sythetic jude(spelling?) on top of the floor board to help absorb some road noise.
for the integra, the most important areas would be the floorboard, doors, quarter panel, and the front sides where the wheel is. if you really would want to sound deaden it as much as possible, deaden the firewall behind the dash and the trunk area.

FWIW.... ATK KUK probably noticed alot more sound/noise in his car. the ITRs have no sound deadening material at all (firewall, rear fender, and floor). all other integras have sound-deadning material in theses places (large mat behind the dash, floorboard, under the front windshield, trunk area, and also 2 patchs on the rear wheelwells).
you can get dynamat extreme in a bulk pack on ebay for 130 shipped i believe.

You have a few different sources of noises and you'll need to tackle them in different ways.
Get a few cans of rubberized undercoating and spray that under the fender wells. That cuts down on road noise a lot. Remember, most road noise comes from the tires as they roll over the pavement... so putting the most sound deadening around the wheels will help the most. If you have rattles from your audio system, pinpoint them and eliminate them one by one. You can either tighten the attachment of the panel, shim it with some felt or silicon adhesive.
Dynamat is a great product, and I've bought a lot of it over the years, but I would never pay retail for it because the markup is around 200 percent... similiar to any other "accessory" type product.

Today I installed XTC Foam Baffles and that halped keep all the waterr thats been gettin on them off and also stopped the buzzing from the door panel. I also picked up an Dynamat Xtreme Door kit (12 sq ft) for $29 and will be installing that soon. The baffles are excellent and well worth the money.
The best deal on butyl mat that I know of is Raammat BXT. Check his ebay deal for that. This is comparable to Dynamat Extreme (same butyl base, not asphault so it won't melt on you).
Secondskinaudio has a deal on their new spectrum v3 liquid deadener coming out (free shipping too). I'd say that's a steal, and then eDead v3 liquid deadener would be my next choice. There is a 20% off coupon for edead, but after shipping I think the better deal would be spectrum (well I am a fan of Secondskinaudio).
