Default K20 Prelude

Has anyone ever put a k20 in a 97 up prelude? i know you would be loosing displacement but the k20's seem to have much more potential. i was wondering because i will soon be doing a auto to manual swap and it sounds like a pretty resonable idea to swap in a rsx type s engine and tranny. thoughts anyone?

h22 is best you can get for a prelude.....k series would require way too much work to fit in a prelude from mounts, to axles, to shift linkeage to everything! they are just too different.....but it would be possible, but most likely not worth the trouble.

the same process that is required to swap the engine into any other car that was not originally equiped with a k-series. the main problem with that swap at the moment is that there is no company that i have heard of that is producing any mounts, if you have the capacity to build your own then that shouldnt be a problem.

dude are you retarded or somthing, hes saying a k24 block with a k20 head
its sounds like a good idea, a good amount of work is needed to put that head on that block, its nowhere as easy as b series

and by the time you spend all that money in your car, it will not be much faster and youl be out of cash, just spend that cash on the h22 in the car and your car will be much much faster and not hacked up

k20 will have the bling factor and bragging rights, but its not worth the cash to do it right

plus like mentioned before, there are no mounts available for this motor into a lude, so the mounts will need to be custom, and thats not high cash for that, premade mounts are only out for eg/ek/dc so far

i was thinking of using a head off a type s, the only reason i am considering this is because im want to rebuild my motor to run more boost and its not cheap to get it resleeved. also i want to to a auto to manual swap. other than custom motor mounts and drive shafts it shouldnt be any different than putting a k20 in anything else. plus the prelude has more room under the hood. this isnt my daily driver and i know this would take alot of time and custom fabrication but i think it would be worth it..

the H22 is still a great motor, IMO its not worth the hassel

ive seen a 270-280 whp street-able H22 from TOO, there is no reason to swap out the engine

H22 short block w/ K20 head...smell like BS. I'll believe it when I SEE it with my own two eyes!

No prob. I have not seen it either. However, if someone can test fit a type s head with a h22a block that would confirm the fitment. I was told, it fits.
