My tranny recently went out on my EJ1 (d16z6 with auto tranny) and a shop quoted me at about 2000 to get a new AT in it with a warranty or so.

For 2k + about 600 or so I could get a b16a swap with a MANUAL transmission. My main goal is to get this motor in and swap it over to a 5 speed.

My problem I have no idea where to begin with the tranny swap, or the motor swap so I need some help with this. If anyone is in the 98208 area and could give me a hand, I would REALLY appreciate it, I have tools, but no torque wrenches or anything, and I also don't have an engine lift.
