Default Oil Consumption & Shaft Play?

I've noticed I have been losing a little bit of oil lately. I've been monitoring for leaks and found none.
I noticed my turbo has some shaft play(up and down not in and out) could this cause oil consumption?

The turbo is greddy TD04H-15G @ 15-16psi.

I would check the inside of your intercooler piping or your intercooler for traces of oil, it is normal to have a little bit of movement in the shaft, but if there are no noticeable leaks then the turbo could be the source of your loss of oil.

Good idea I will check that! I did notice some coked oil on the coupler between the turbo and pre-turbo pipe. there was some coked up oil on the inlet of turbo itself, just in front of the blades not on them.

I did notice when I first bought the turbo when I ran 10W-30 it spooled slower compared to when I ran 5w-30. 3 years later there is no difference in spool up the between the two oil weights used.
