PLEASE HELP MY JDM B16 ys1 tranny is acting weird!!!!!!!!
hey all i have a ys1 tranny from a jdm integra xsi 92-93 non lsd tranny i had it on my b16 for a while a put a brand new stage 2 act clutch with a light weight flywheel. the only thing i didnt change was the release bearing cause the one that came with the kit didnt fit. any ways i got a good deal on a usdm gsr motor im using my b16 tranny on it . just the other day my tranny starts geting reallly hard to get in first gear and alll the gears. but when you shut the car off you can shift fine. when you adjust the cluctch you can shift fine for a while then it starts getting hard again. what the hell is going on is my tranny going out ???? please let me know ASAP im in the process of saving for a new ys1 lsd tranny. p.s. does anyone no where to buy the release bearing for b16 trannys??? thanks alll
my friend it's either your transmission cable is worn/stretched which i usually replace every time i change a worn clutch. or it is the throwout bearing which you magically happen to not replace cause of the fitment. call ACT or Centorforce and buy the TO bearing seperate for like $25-35 it's worth it for your stage 2.
try them 2 things before shelling out $$ for another tranny when not needed
