What to do with the tranny?
I am purchasing a 1990 DX with a JDM B16 motor. Getting right to the point...3rd gear syncro = fubar. It has just a slight grind whenever putting it into 3rd. The guy I am buying it from says all you have to do is tap 4th gear and put it in 3rd, and no grind. That's cool and I can do that for now, but honnestly...I don't want to live with that.
So now the question is...what should I do? Should I have the syncro replaced or buy a new tranny? If so, where abouts could I find a nice cable tranny to use? Also...would it be worth it to get an LSD tranny? I wonder how much it would run me to have the tranny rebuilt.

Yeah, I think I'll probably end up buying a new one. Can anyone give me any details on how much I should spend? So I don't get ripped off.

That's about what I was thinking...what do you think about LSD trannys? $800-$900? What that even be worth it?
