Default Camber probs....

Has anyone lowered there 2000 civic with the h&r 2.75 inch lowering springs. Im having crazy tire wear issues and cant tell if its toe or camber which are the signs of each because i dont want to have a alignment done before i buy the camber kit if its only the toe that im haveing issues with. thanks

Most likely it's your camber, get the kit first then take it in for a alignment.

You definitely need a camber kit. I see you are in cocoa,FL? We are in Orlando. You can come by and pick up the kits you need. Give me a call or PM and I will explain what you need.

If you are still skeptical, find an alignment shop that will give you a printout without performing an alignment. That way you will know exactly how much adjustment you need. Check us out at http://www.camberkit.com

ok, you probably don't really need a camber kit. Camber DOES NOT CAUSE HORRIBLE TIRE WEAR!!! Maybe people will start to get it. Toe is the reason that your tires wear out so quickly after lowering a car. Camber will take a few thousand miles off the life of your tires. Toe will take a brand new tire and wear it out within a month or two. I usually run 2-2.5 degrees of negative camber for the past several years and have no problems getting a year or more out of performance tires. This includes autocrossing. Go get your car aligned WITHOUT the camber kit & get the toe straight. After that, see how your tire wear is. If it's too bad then grab an alignment kit but I bet you that you won't have any problems with a 2.25-2.5" drop (what I had with the H&R race which is what I'm assuming you're running on).
