rust on rear quarter panel near taillights
I just bought a used '95 civic si hatchback. On the exterior, everything looked clean but I later found out that it had been rear ended. There were a couple days that rained and I found that my trunk and rear seats were wet. I took it to the dealer and they found two cracks on the roof which cost 500$ to fix (200 for water leak inspection, 300 for labor =\ ). Anyway they found rust on the rear quarter panels around the tailights. I was wondering what would be the best way to fix this. I searched and I know people with rust in the wheel well just cut it out and weld on a new body panel. Can I still do this when the rust is around the taillights? What are some other methods? Thanks.
