Soild Cel Light...
Today I took out my gauge cluster to replace the speedo cable.
I noticed that someone had removed the cel bulb. So I replaced it, jumped the connector in the kick panel, and turned the key on--- to see that my Cel light didnt flash it was solid.
What does this mean?
TIA

you have a code, you can just check the code by looping the service connector or if it a later model look at the blinking light on the ECU. If you dont know the codes there are a whole bunch of posts in the civic and in this forum

When the connector is NOT jumpered, does the CEL light up? If not, you don't have any error codes stored. That's how it's supposed to work.
If the CEL lights up while driving, AND THEN stays on solid when you jumper the connector; then something's flaky.

On my car (OBD1 G3) the CEL comes on solid while in diagnostic mode if no codes are stored (like when you're adjusting timing or whatever and have the service connector jumped). If there are codes, it should be on solid during normal condition, but then flash out the code when you jump the service connector.

Im a dumbass... I thought that if you jumped the connector that the light would come on then go off.
My cel light isnt on when driving, I just wanted to see if my ecu was malfunctioning.
