Default O1 GSR Ecu ?'s

I have a 2001 GSR and the issue is RPM's. I would like to increase the RPM's so as to be able to extract more power out of the Skunk 2 Stage 2 cams I am running. Only problem is that Hondata does not support my ECU and I do not want the AEM EMS system. ($$ low) I was thinking that I could use a OBD2 to OBD1 conversion harness and get an OBD1 ECU and the S200 system from Hondata OR run a 98+ Type R ECU to get the extra revs (alone). Only thing is really I would just like to increase RPM's and thats it. Any suggestions? I hear I cannot run the s200 in the way I want because of the immobilizer. Doesn;t really make sense tho if I am going to run an OBD1 ECU. Once again, any suggestions. Searched to no avail.

PnP head, Skunk2 Stage2 cams, cam gears, intake, DC 4-1 header, modified intake manifold, 68 mm TB, Portflow valvetrain, omni power valves. Some other stuff here and there.

Dont have experience with this but I will take a shot at it. I think the immoblizer has more to do with the ECU. If you buy a p73 (I think that is the ITR ECU) it might have an immobilizer, I know the 00-01 gsr's have one. You would have to take it somewhere to get it removed from the ECU. There was someone that made a thread for it. search for immbolizer and you should come up with it

The immobilizer is in the ecu. If you convert to OBd1, my conversion harness will jump the necessary pins to function the fuel pump. Then you can get a chipped P28 ecu from iH8RICERZ above for your setup or purchase a Hondata setup. You can also look into Crome or Uberdata as well.

I have heard that the immobizer is near the ignition itself. I may be mistaken. So your saying that if I use your conversion harness (Blown90hatch) and run an OBD1 ECU and hondata (s200), that I can make it work?

that is correct....I believe that the immobilizer is in the ecu itself, as well as the key.
