I have my DA lowered on Tein S-Techs and recently my brakes gave out, and I noticed the brake hose was busted which was a result from rubbing. Now..this is the first time its happened and Ive had the springs on for about 6 months and Id prefer it to not happen again. is there any way to prevent it from happening again?
thx
thx
Think about it. If your stock brake lines were rubbing...your new SS lines will also rub. Just because they are SS doesn't mean they won't eventually wear down if they are rubbing. Do you have aftermarket shocks? If you're using all of the stock mounting clips for the lines they shouldn't rub. If you can't use some of them you can compensate with zip ties.

True dat. Just depends on how bad they are rubbing. But i would check to see if you are useing all of your brake like clips.

All of the aftermarket shocks or coilovers i've seen have mounting points like stock shocks for you to mount the lines to. If you don't use them they are probably gonna rub. If they don't have those then just use zip ties. And I have stainless lines on mine too and they help like nothing you'de expect them too

ahh no, i didnt take any pics
just wanted to fix it..
but i just secured it as best i could with zip ties..hopefully it will be fine..
and the brake line clearly had wear to it..it didnt just "give out" it was worn down like an inch along the line, and just eventually broke through in the middle.
