If everything goes according to plan, I will be attending SCCA School at Willow Springs next month to get my license, and going to as many So Cal/AZ WCHC races as I can afford this year (as well as SCCA ITA races, funds willing).

I'm planning to do the two NASA crossover events for sure, as a driver. As a journalist, I'll go where the stories and (usually) the most cars are...

Of course I will be doing the NorCal Honda Challenge races. If things work out, I will also be attending some SoCal races as well.

We are bringing two H4 cars, to the Full Norcal schedule and the Crossovers. We also have a H5 car for sale for $2500, if anyone wants to get in on the action.

There's a handful of NW drivers that are planning to make haul to Cali for a crossover. We were hoping the April 9-10 crossover would be rescheduled at Infineon.

Sorry John, I don't think that is going to happen. @ this point, I would say the posted schedule is what is going to stick.

I honestly don't have a lot of sway in the schedule making department.

No worries, I understand. How much further South is Buttonwillow from Infineon in hours?

Sam,
How can you make the post asking, and not tell yourself?

I'm "planning" on running WCHC H1 and SCCA races as well!
It all comes down to how much money I have to run which races!

My plans are to finish the car no later then February, and get licensed either at the SCCA school in March or NASA HPDE program otherwise.

I really dont know.

Whatever i can afford. NASA Socal is haveing 9 weekends of racing thats 18 Races9Which is great). Its a little too much, pushing for us budget racers. I will try to attend most of them anyway.

I'll be at Laguna for an SCCA regional on Apr 2-3.

I had planned on doing Sears Point on Apr 9-10 but with the crossover event taking all the Hondas to Buttonwillow on the same weekend it might be a waste of energy.

I am also planning on attending the Western States Championship on
Oct 21-22. Possible to do the CalClub Double Regional at Willow Springs on Oct 8-9. These are both subject to not figuring out an affordable way to get to ARRC in Nov.

4+ hours. Approx 267 miles. But those figures could change if youstay on I-5 or depending on where we store trucks, trailers, and cars if you do Laguna with me.

Probably 3-4 hours if you go straight down I-5 and don't detour off to see Infinion...

Yeah, closer to 220 miles if you stay on I-5. Pretty flat towning thru the SJ valley the whole way...

Thanks. We're coming straight down I-5.

Rick, I'm still up in the air about Laguna. I'm sure I won't be able to do a double weekend though. I had planned on one trip to Cali this year for a HC crossover. Maybe I'll hold tight until the one at Infineon.

We've got strorage for the tweener week. Fly home, work, be a good husband with no car to interfere with the relationship for the week, fly back to Cali for some racing. Make the trip worth the tow.

I just did a quick search and round trip non-stop flights from SF are below $200 and as low as $137 with stop overs.

So, are you saying Laguna and Buttonwillow?

Problem is vacation time for me. Mrs. Johng and I cruise the Caribbean late April, so that's a lot of time to take so early in the season. We'll talk locally Rick.

Building (Rebuilding?) my '91 CRX for the full season in H4. Should have new paint, new aero, and hopefully a tow vehicle for this season.

Three simple steps for going ITA/H4 racing in 05

1. Buy my CRX
2. Have it shipped ($800 from what people have told me)
3. Go racing!

Of course, those on the West Coast, should:
1) Buy my Civic
2) Go Racing!

H5 what's that? I live in SoCal and I don't think there's anything running but H4 and H1. It would be cool to see some other (slighlty) lower budget classes run in SoCal tho. For $2500 you can't go wrong
