There are times when I turn the key the car makes a "one" click sound every time I turn the key to crank it. It also makes the "one" click when I hold the key down and move my clutch in and out. After awhile, it barely fires to life and sometimes it bogs out. When this happens I have to reset my clock/radio presets. I already changed my plugs. Now what else are my options?
Starter?
cap/rotor?
ignition switch?
distributor?

First off, you should check the obvious. Check all the grounds to the battery and to the starter itself. Check and make sure your battery is charged up and all the connections are good. You say that your clock/radio needs to be reset, MAKE SURE to check all the connections to the battery and charging system (alternator). Have you tried giving the motor a "jump"?... theres a BIG chance your battery needs to be replaced.
It could also be a problem with the started itself, more specifically the starter solenoid. That "click" you are hearing is the solenoid trying to spin the starter motor. Try tapping on the starter motor with a hammer or a rod (lightly). If the starter works after that, then you have to replace the starter motor.

If it was the ignition system(cap/rotor, distributor) the engine would at least turn over a few times attempting to start.
If it were the ignition switch, you would not hear the "click" from the starter solenoid.

 

Starter ground? Starter power is probably arcing across or loose

 

i had this problem, it turned out to be a bad relay on my alarm. I would check all the electrical connections first
