Default OBX Cam Gear

I just wanted to get some opinions on this product... http://www.obxracingsports.com...ID=18
I can pick one up for under $50 bucks... Just wondering if any one had this and what they think of it. Thanks for the help!

It looks nice and has 5 bolts...but I just don't trust OBX. Anyone actually used this?

That **** is pretty funny!

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Hard baked anodized gear teeth are use to keep the longevity of the product. OBX Precision Adjustable Cam Sprockets are available for SOHC and DOHC engines. All OBX Products are dyno tested for 5~20 horsepower gain as well as durability and structural strength.</TD></TR></TABLE>

Hard baked??? Never heard of that for aluminum before! And the power claim is kind of funny since everyone knows an adjustable cam gear is meant for tuning. Not like their gear set at 2 degrees retarded is going to be different than someone else's at the same timing setting.

I don't remember where, but I saw pictures of and OBX cam gear that snapped, but then again I don't know what was the cause.

I've been running a set on my EM1 for the last 4 years. No problems. They haven't budged. Still set at the same setting I put them at back in 2000. :thumbup" from me.

Why? There's nothing wrong with the OBX gears? Plus I'd rather have 5 bolts holding my gears at their setting than 3 anyday.
