Default Alpine AI-net installation

i've got alipne AI-net equipment 90% installed, but just have a quick thing to check.

the indash monitor is seoarate from the head unit, on my 1994 civic hatch, the heater controls above the DIN slot, appear exactly the same size. Now as these are broken anyway (jammed at full temp, so over use of the sunroof happens here) i was toying with the idea of putting the monitor in this position, and relocating the heter controls to where the ashtray etc is at the moment.

can anyone offer any advice on this.

if it's a stupid idea, please tell me.

yeah, just take the bezel apart and swap the heater control panel to the bottom. Its a perfect fit with almost no mods needed. As for it being jammed full temp, just trace the cable while you are at it and see if its hooked up, or if its broken, heres a good chance to replace it. Good luck
