88 CRX want to go from 205/50/15 to 225/50/15. Issues? Fitment? Alignment?
I have a 88 CRX stripped interior track car with B18c for DE work. Koni OTS/GC/Eibach 450fr/550r ERS springs. Ride Height not measured at the moment (will again later) but not too low in that you have to make sure the skidplate for the headers and oil pan hanging out the bottom on the B18c don't get bange up/ripped off.
I want to put some wider rubber on the car. Want to go from 205/50/15 Toyo RA-1s to 225/50/15 RA-1s or 225/45/15 (forgot if they make RA-1s in that aspect). I have Kosei K1 15x7 with a 38 offset. I know in the past someone told me he was running NASA with a CRX running 225/50/15s Toyo RA-1swith I though a 36 offset maybe. I want to find out what issues I may have or what additional mods I may have to make. Not ready for the leap to Hoosiers just yet.
1. Can I massage the fenders and fender lip (how much work) to get 225/50/15s on the Kosei 38 offset under the car with lower ride height (not specifically measured at this moment)?
2. Will it take a certain bit of camber to do it? I know at least for Hoosiers they want more negative camber not as sure on the Toyos. I am at 1.9 negative camber on all four corners at the moment. Can I get more out of the stock suspension?
3. Am I going to have to get a camber kit to make this work? If so is there one out there that works worth a flip and is not prone to slip? I looked at the SPC online and it looks like it would slip. I have heard both good and bad comments on the Ingalls set up? What is out there that is any good and how much should I expect to pay?
TIA.

They will fit. You need to roll the lips on all 4 corners. Last event, I tried a friends set to see about fitment. I have the same wheels as you, same offset. The wheels and tires I tried were 225/50/15's on mugen mf10's with a 40 offset. There was some minor rubbing that I am sure I could dial out with a tad bit more camber. Don't remember what my camber is set at, but I have not camber kit, and the camber I have is just from it being lowered.
The RA1's are going to be coming in 225/45/15 later on this year and they will fit much better. I am waiting for those to come out!

I have been wondering about the correct offset for a 225/50/15 (or 225/45/15) wheel myself. I have been told that a 35 offset seems to work.
Would the 38 offset have any issues with the strut housing?
