1991 Honda Accord vibration??
I have a 1991 Accord XL. A vibration has occurred recently and I am curious how I should get it corrected. When the vehicle is accelerating, in other word there is a pull on the transmission, it feels like a vibration. When I release pressure on the gas pedal the vibration seems to stop. I do not think it is an alignment issue and the brakes were recently replaced. Any ideas?
It could possibly be one of your axles going bad, I am in the process replacing one of mine. The shop said it needed to be replaced, it happened on my other Accord about a year ago, quick fix. Just a suggestion. Get it checked out and do the work yourself if possible. A lot of tire shops can tell you if it's an alignment or another issue and some will do it for free.
Pulling the wheel off, a few suspension components and pulling the axle out, I can see what the exact directions are out of my manual if you want them I learned from a friend how to do before I had bought my manual. Let me know I can e-mail them to you, if you end up needing them. It's not that long of an ordeal and only takes about an two hours or less the first time (probably less).
have you had any maintenance done of it? I had a tune up done on my 92, and the mechanic (dumbass) flsuhed the ATF fluid and refilled with generic fluid. Not the Honda specified blend. Had to have it flushed and refilled with the correct ATF fluid. Will not be going back there!
