Have a 2005 accord 4 cyl., can feel a shuddering or shake at around the 1700 rpm area and it is a fast shudder for about a second. It has been doing this for some time and now seems to be more frequent. I can duplcate it on any given drive. Just had all tires balanced again and new alignment. You can feel the vibration or shudder through the gas pedal and floor. Tachometer does not shake, but always occurs around the 1700 mark. Any help on the matter would be greatly appreciated. Car has around 85,000. Thank you

You need to replace an axle, maybe both.

Why wouldn't it do it constantly then or at all different speeds? Just wondering reasons why it would be axles?

Thank you all for the replies, oops I mean reply. Is this how all the newbies are treated? I am a member of numerous different forum sites and this is tops, no doubt the unfriendliest one of all. Well there are other resources thank the Lord for that, cause I don't know why this one is on the internet. Later all. Probably get plenty of replies now eh? I hereby revoke my "trial user". My 4cyl 2005 ex vibrates when I step on the brake pedals after attaining 60mph speed. Dunno if its same fault as what d poster described. Any help?
