Mis-Shift/Rev Limiter Ect.....
i know that if you shift from second to third and accidentally put it in first there is no way to stop the rpm's from going through the roof, however isnt your rev limiter supose to cut off the rpms if you mis from third to fourth or 1st to second? My redline is currently set at 9k rpm, "yea i know i need to get it changed, i never drive it that high anways". I went from third to fourth and missded/grinded a little and of course it rev'd up. Check engine light flickered on when it got around 9k, i believe it stopped right around 9k, thats where my hondata rev limiter is set. Does hondata throw a code when yuo hit off the limiter? Car drives fine and everything runs perfect, it did the same thing after it was tuned on the drive home when i was around 9k.
ps: im getting my rev limiter set back to 8400 next week, i didnt want it that high, the tuner just set it that way

Word. The rev limiter stops gas from getting to the motor I believe, but if you enguage 1st at 60, nothing's gonna stop it from going through the roof.
