Transmission question on 89 Integra LS
I have an 1989 Integra LS. I have come to realize that when driving at high speeds (above 50 MPH) the car revs. quite high. Like at 60 MPH the car's RPMs are about 3250-3300. This seems high to me given my other car (chevy Nova) is at 3000 at 70-72 MPH.
Does anyone out there know of any other trannys available in higher geering so I could go 70 MPH at say 3000. Right now I am guessing I am around 4000-4200 RPM at 70 MPH and the engine noise is rather loud for my taste, plus I think I would get better fuel economy at the lower RPMs. I still enjoy reving the car, but I do not like to be in the high RPMs at highway speed.
Thanks.
