Default Lugnut split on me, Help!

Well I was switching out my rims for my old steelies and ran into a problem.

So now if anyone out there knows of a way to get this one off please let me know. Two more in the front are starting to crack as well.

And I would also like to know where a good place to buy stock lugnuts would be. I believe the dealer would be too much money (haven't checked yet though). And, the ones at advanced auto I'm afraid would rust. So any sugestions on that would be great as well. Thanks.

P.S. sorry for the poor image quality... All I have on me is my camera phone.

Shoot I don't know, I'd just weld them to a short peice of metal and turn it.

i'd probably try using a vise grip around the thing or continue the split with hammer and chisel to split the whole lug off..

you can find lugnuts at your local pepboys or autozone for like a dollar a peice. i found this out when i was putting on my snow tires and torquing down the final lug and it just kept on spinnin....completely stripped out. it was hilarious.

Either the vice grip, or a socket that will fit, and hammer it on. Just make sure you are ready to buy another socket.

vise grips are the best way.. i had to do it a few times.. on my old hatch ..after i flipped my car some one took the keys to my lock.. so i had to use vise grips to get about 8 lugs off
thats the best way

This might not make sence but a 1/4" socket drive might fit in there tight enough to turn it... Probably not because of the size of that crack but its worth a try, I used it on a friends lug nuts.

2 things..

Hit it w/ some PB BLASTER to loosen the bolt then get some vise grips and twist it off..

or just take it to a shop have them deal w/ it .. if you need a new stud .. then just replace it couple of $$ fromhonda

bolt out...

what i found that worked twice for me was using a 12 point socket that will barely go over and hammer it in there. then take it off. of courseyou might not get that socket back. had two oem lug keys that stripped =p used bolt out on some kyokugens.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. I'll be trying this as soon as I pick up some stock lugs.

your foot? maybe you should go and get yourself a torque wrench and start putting things back on with vehicles proper specs. also get a manual for your car.

i bet you dont know theres a proper way to putting your wheels on your car =p.
seriously... a good torque wrench is a cheap investment. wwww.harborfreight.com sells some good and affordable one.
