Default Tire Size Concerns

Will a 235/40-18 tire fit on a 18x7.5 offset +45 wheel on a 98-02 Accord?

i had 225/40/18 tires with the same rim size but im not sure what my offset was, i think i was about +45. anyway, they fit fine but my rear tires would rub on my fenderwell everytime i hit a bump or a dip on the street. the front rims fit fine without any rubbing. i guess it depends on how low your car is also, i have a 2.5 drop all around. i hope this helps

id only have a 35 series tire if the width was 305 or greater. just not enough sidewall on a 35.

hummm, you lost me. i dont think a 305 would ever fit. i was talking about how tall the tire is. ive heard if you lower 2in. you will have to run say a 225/35/18 rather than a 225/40/18.
