Default Slight miss & hesitation in engine- Help please & Brakes

Evening guys. I have a couple quick questions. When cruising at a steady speed or slowly accelerating in my CRX, I notice sort of a slight hesitation. It like will feel like it's drawing back a little then jump forward a little bit then draw back a little and do this over and over... I notice this when it's warm, and it has done it since I got the car... It will also do it sometimes right when I hit the gas at like a light. I hear what sound like small backfires out of my exhaust....what may be causing this?

Also, a braking question. I bled the brakes when I got the car, and they still sink. If you slam them, I have good brakes. If I let them in slowly, or just hold them down at a traffic light they will sink and I have to repump them. It seems like it gets worse the longer the car is driven...The dont hardly sink at all when the car is cold and regular driving around town...after driving for about 2 hours though...they seem to sink faster..... I ordered a master cylinder from Pep Boys today, and it's coming in Thursday morning. Is that what you guys think the problem is, or would you say try getting them pressure bled & have the brake booster checked b4 I get the master put on? Can the master be done at home, or should I take it to a shop? (I have a Haynes and Chilton, but they're buried under about 3.223 tons of crap...I'll pull them out).

Any help/suggestions appreciated as always

On another note...I got my tach and a/f ratio guages today and got them hooked up. The a/f ratio guage is going back and forth now like you said. Major props to Jan (ED9Hybrid on here) on helping me install them/sit out in the damn cold rainy weather outside of AZ for like 4 hours, thanks for your help man....much appreciated....I'll get back to you on that intake.

Jonathan

the first ine seems like your fuel is cutting off for some reason or another. check your fuel filter first or it could also be spark realated check you plugs and wires as well as your dist.

Mine does the same EXACT thing. I have changed the distributor cap and rotor. As well as plugs and fuel filter. Only thing left is the plug wires!!!!!!
