does anyone here make metallic gaskets? just like the stock one where the header and head connect... but instead the lower part where the downpipe meets the header...

any help would be appreciated thanks

A metal gasket will likely just increase the risk of leakage....in a place that you don't really need metal gaskets. The standard Graphite/metal gaskets will work fine, and will seal to imperfect surfaces well.

Typically, when a person says they want a "metal gasket" they are meaning SOLID metal. If this isn't the case for you, then why are you even asking for something by specifics, rather than just say you want an exhaust gasket? Do you think they make them out of paper or something?

If a stock gasket is all you want, go to AutoZone. If you want anything beyond that, my question still stands: Why do you think you need it?

have you ever seen a two piece header? the mating points will induce leakage if there is no THIN metal type gasket to go between. something along the lines of where the stock gasket meets with the header primaries.

I guess I don't understand then... cause I'm thinking that if this was such a problem then somebody would probably make a gasket for it...if nothing else, the maker of the header should supply it or know where to get it.

Both would be cool, if you got them.

Maybe somebody here can come up with a good idea and save you some money.
