what i do is since i have LSD i tack it up to 2500 to 3000 and i pop the clutch..the LSD reduces tire spin...so i dont get tirespin at the RPM range..try it out if not fiddle around w/ it...cuz on some cars u have to rev a lil higher to reduce stalling.. BUMP for u

I like to slip the clutch
i rev up to 4K, hold the gas there and start releasing the clutch pedal just enough to break a little traction.....if it skids too much, then i slow down the release, and vice-versa.

when the clutch pedal is all the way up, then i plant the throttle.

That's the better way to do it. Popping the clutch is not good for the drivetrain and is actually slower than slipping it a little. I wish I had LSD though, because I dumped it at around 1800 once to see what it'd do and it just wheel hopped like a bastard and didn't really go anywhere.

I feather out the clutch on my GSR from around 4200rpms. I didn't have any wheelspin surprisingly. I am not a fan of popping the clutch, it usually leads to wheelspin, at least with my car having an open-differential.

rev to your VTEC engaugement point and moderate the clutch and gas. keep the clutch right underneath the engaugement point when your staging

i think everyone should invest in LSD for the drag strip...and i am surprised that u dont burnout w/ an open diff...wow lucky u..and i have axels that can w/ stand 500 whp..so i think i am good..lol BUMP for all ur methods

this is the reason why we buy new clutch kits every now and then. At least faster then the usual clutch's life, but it all good

I only do a slight burnout, just a quick spin, both wheels spin freely which is weird considering I don't have a diff, but they both spin the same amount. Whenever I do a burnout there is always 2 black marks. Stock axles can support the power I am making.

Thats pretty much how I do it too, depending on track temp I change the rpms, as far as burnout, unless your wearing slicks dont drive through the waterbox, even after the burnout water'll still be hanging around inside the tread of your tire and once you stop it'll run its way down your tire before you launch, kinda self defeating. Even without the burnout I've still 60 ft times in the 2.0 range at 40 degrees outside and moisture condensing on the track using the above method

Exactly.......this is the best way to take off. it is the easiest on your tranny, and it is also the quickest way to get off of the line. and 4k is about the right rpm to drop it I have sh*tloads of weight reduction done, however, so I drop between 3k and 3500.
