well i have the h22 ecu wich is obd2 but it doesnt plug in my 96 ex im running the h22 with my stock ecu but its not running right
also when i put new spark plugs in it runs fine for about 20min them it starts missfiring really bad when i pull them out and clean them them it runs perfect i whent thru 3 sets off plugs already

 

OBD2 ECU=Not chippable (wellit is, but very expensicve, and propbably not going to allow for the parameters of the H22

Source an ECU from the model care the H22 came out of.

 

well when i bought my h22 they gave me the ecu too but it didnt plug in i got it from password jdm

i was told that i can get a harness jumper amd plug the ecu i got i hope this works

 

Are you sure your H22 is obd2?

 

So this is an obd1 H22 in a 96 civic ex? Im asuming since the ecu doesn't fit on the 96 civic its an obd1 ecu. What ECU is it for the h22 that you have? Get a p13 with a jumper harness or a chipped p28 with the harness and your done. The only p28 h22a chip that i know of is offered by newman here on HT. Im sure you can search and find others though

It must be obd1 if they told you get a harness jumper

 

well the ecu has 4 plugs on it i dont know if that helps coud the ecu cause the problems i got with my spark plugs i really need my car running right
