Procedure for oil pan gasket.
Replaced my oil pump on h22, put oil pan back on, didnt put enough honda bond on driver side, all of the oil spills onto the ground
This time i cleaned off all of the residue and put it on like toothpaste and im going to wait about a day and a half. Am i doing this right? Service manual doesnt say how to apply hondabond on the oil pan gasket.
btw i only put it on the bottom of the gasket and just a thin layer on the gasket to block side. How long should I wait before i drive the car?

there is a torque sequence as well starting from the center moving outwards, with a torque of 9ft Lbs, - also the helm's I have doesn't call for hondabond - just says to put some liquid gasket at the edges of the passenger side - where it dips.
and what exactly do you think hondabond is ?? (liquid gasket)
If you put to much of it on, there is a good chance it may flake off on the inside of the pan and get caught in your oil pick-ups and cause oil starvation.

I used a cheap sealer one time and caked it on, and for the longest time afterward vtec wsnt hitting as good as it used too, like it was someway restricted. So my tech now was fixing most of my leaks pulled the pan off and all the excess flaked off in the pan and made a big clog in one of the lines. But once all said and done he just used the honda gasket w/ no sealant and nothing leaks and vtec hits like normal again.
