Do away with Power Steering?
Personally i do not like to have power steering in my cars because of the feel of the handling and HP gain, i just picked up a 88 prelude Si, what do any of you suggest i should do with whole power steering setup??
Well i was thinking more along the line of removing the lines, rack and pinion, pump, and whatever else is taking up my space...

Just take out the pump, lines, PS fluid cooler (if you have one), and reservior and loop the lines at the rack so the fluid can still flow freely. I wouldn't take out the rack & pinion...
Couldnt i take the boots off the rack and just leave it like that? would it make it easier steering?? or should i leave the boots on and loop the lines ?

why in the world would you remove the boots?

i wouldnt think a 3rd gen would be too hard to turn without powersteering
but i had my (4th gen) ps belt off for like a month and i think that was the hardest month of my life lmao. i didnt mind until i went into a parking lot.
what i want to eventually look into is seeing how the electric power steering works from the s2000's or ep civic's. and seeing how much all that **** weighs and if it would be worth it to put that on intead of the belt driven old school ps
