Default just got a gsr

My brother just bought a 2000 Integra GSR. Can anyone tell me what rpm does vtec engage in? And what happens if you try to get in vtec when the car isn't warmed up yet? Thanks.

Well like any other engine you should always let the engine run alittle before driving. It will hit vtec but you will do some wear to the engine that you'll feel on in the 100k+ miles.

VTEC will not engage if the engine is cold. the temp gauge has to be past the C. You should not drive the car hard until it is in the middle.

VTE engages at 4400 RPM. The topic has been beaten to death please search.
