best looking 16in rims out there
I've been there. 17's, 14's, 15's, all but 16. 17's were to harsh of a ride on 40's. The I moved to 15in rims. As soon as I started rolling I noticed terrible sidewall flex on turns=no cornering capability. So, its looking like I'll have to comprimise. Any good suggestions for a nice looking 16 rim?
My old 17's were gm with polsihed lip. I think gm would be the way to go but I'm open here.

ah yes. And this brings me to my next point. I'd rather stay below $1000 for rims and tires. lol, adds a whole new dimension huh?
I'll look into those gt3's.
Whats the rims on the lower picture miata? I think they might look good??

IMO for the money and style and weight, I like the Rota Subzeros in black. Yes they are the replica racing hearts. They only weigh like 14 lbs.

and then my second favorite rim is the stock Honda Prelude Type SH wheel. its 16 inchs and weighs 19.7 lbs

Rota subzeros (Replica) or racing hart CP-035R (Real)

Racing hart CP-035R
The red miaita could have Mugen MF8s or they could be Rota Curcuit eights

I'm feelin the deep dish on those racing harts. My old 17's had polished lips and I would get compiments at stoplights from everybody 15-60 years old. Complete strangers.
edit: Heres a fun fact, the racing hart CP-035R seem to only come in 18 wtf?

Yeah I was thinking the same thing but you never know.

All depends on how much you want to spend.

with your budget at $1000 wheels and tires..hard to beat rota's..the Circuit 8's(like on the Miata)or the Circuit 10's(MF 10 rip-off's) would look pretty good i think
Well I guess I'm just going to keep searching. I personally have a hard time trying to picture how wheels are going to look on my car. On my very first set, 17" Tenzo RS5 in gm, they looked perfect. Like they were meant for the car. I lucked out.
I guess ideally, I'd like a split spoke 5 star in gm with a polished lip. I realize how specific that sounds and yet I'm baffled why I cant find any good ones.
Thanks for the ideas, keep em comin.

If your compromising, which suggests you would like to stick with the 15in wheel. just get some falken azenis tires. If you still think they flex too much, something is wrong. If you're set on 16's the sponsor marketplace for susp/wheels has Brig wheels for sale for hella cheap. They're even forged, something like $649 a set, and the 5 spokes look great....................John ...................EDIT; NM only 15 & 17in
