what bolts to hold an engine on a stand?

Default what bolts to hold an engine on a stand?

what bolts do i need to hold my engine up on a stand... the stock tranny bolts aren't long enough.

On a Engine stand? Dont you just slide the 4 parts of the engine stand through the motor?

Sorry never had an engine stand.

If you mean hoist then thats different.

Yours didnt come with holders for it? Try goign to a hardware store and bring a tranny bolt with you, and ask for a bolt just like it but longer but just as strong. They should have some.

nah the stand is a friends of a friends of a friends that picked it up used for $20 from the guy that bought it at the auction... etc etc.

Bolts arent long enough? Buy longer bolts? Seems like a pretty crazy idea to me, but it just might work.

what my friend and i did was cut the little thing that sticks out of the mounting points so we can use the short tranny bolts...held up my full longblock.

Looking to do the same thing with a B-Series...

Do I assume correctly that you attach the engine the the stand from the tranny side?
