Default Crazy Idle... Techs Please Help

While driving, when I pull up to a stop to slow down, I throw the car in neutral and my idle seems to rev like 2500 RPM. When the car comes to a complete stop while in neutral, it still revs high at 2500 Rpm. Sometimes when I'm lucky, I'll get a 900 RPM idle. I have spec B's and i lean out the gas with the Field unit to -4% at 1000 Rpm.
Any advice?

could be the fast idle valve....or maybe your throttle cable sticks? do the revs ever go up and down when its warming up?

MY idle goes down when I'm warming up the car and usually stalls but that is natural with Spec Bs. I have to lean out the gas about -15-20% at 1000 Rpm when starting the car.

You have to do that all the time with the B's... Not just on startup. Also, try turning the throttle screw clockwise a turn or so and let us know how that fares. Should lower your idle. Only do this when the car is warm though, otherwise it'll change as the car warms up.

Yeah, at idle I had to play with it from -25% to -35% at 1000 on the part throttle settings to get a decent idle. Anything richer and it would kill itself after a few minutes...

My idle read 700rpm now and sometimes fluctuates to 1000rpm and thats on the Field's Tach.

...ok, it should read 800 +/- 50 rpms... 700 is kinda low if it stays there... Mine would dip occasionally, but with playing on the throttle screw and leaning it out at 1k rpms at part throttle settings helped. I'd say play with that throttle screw a little more, maybe 1/2 turn clockwise again or 1 turn ccwise...

Is this true? With the Spec B cams the car will stall until warmed up. I find this hard to believe, otherwise no one would use them. Sounds like a tuning problem.

It happens to me alot cause my car is not tuned but also the weather drops to like 20 degrees. Thats when I have to lean out the gas. Then after a couple of minutes the car idles fine.
