i just replaced my ICM and when i was hooking up the wires i noticed that there isn't a blue wire to go onto the side terminal. is there supposed to be one? i really don't remember taking one off of there because i unplugged it a few days ago. my manual say that there should be one but i don't even see a wire to plug to it.

car is a 99 civic d16y8 with tec distributer.

 

Old thread but can anyone confirm this? I noticed the same thing on my 00 Civic EX w/ TEC distributor.

 

no. the 99 and 00's dont use it. its perfectly normal.

 

Correct '00 - '01 Integras don't use that terminal either. The reason is because OBD2B vehicles get their tach signal from the ECU.
