Default Wheel Gap

Okay I did a search and alot of people are running 195/50/15 tires on their eg, ek, sols, but my question is how will the wheel gap look if I have a 2" drop? Right now I got 195/55/15 on gsr blades and it barely fills the gap. I was thinking that if I went with 195/50/15 then there would be too much wheel gap and the car would be lower but would look higher. Confused yet?

Then I thought about going 195/60/15 but most people said it will rub, so what do you guys think? Better yet if anybody's got 195/50/15 with a 2" drop could you post up some pics so I can see what it looks like, as far as the wheel gap.

I'm running 205/50/15 on my EG w/ Neuspeed Race springs & it looks perfect IMO.

I think I have the same drop on my sol, how much gap do you have, as far as finger wise.

Looks nice but I kinda want to get rid of the gap though, but oh well guess you have to sacrifice something.

i know what you mean, i think in the spring or this winter im gonna lower the car another inch or so, just to make sure the wheel gap is gone. although i love the tire size, they are low profile enough but not a jagged ride and the don't stick out past the fenders

Yeah I would love to have the tires tucked in. I think I might go 195/55/15 even though they are more expensive but if I go 195/60/15 then the price is cheaper, damn do I want to save $$ or get rid of the gap. Now do you think 195/60/15 would be okay?

just buy adjustable coilovers if your really concerned about getting that perfect lowered look.

You are lowering your car for looks then go get some $89 ebay coilovers and you can go as low as you want and you won't have to worry about all of the different tire sizes... You need some suspension travel if you want to get the slightest improvement in handling... If its just for looks then it doesn't matter...

True, I did have some Skunk2 coilovers on them but didn't like the ride so I opt to just springs. Oh well, maybe I'll switch back.

It's a bit hard to COMPLETELY eliminate wheel gap with springs. Most that I've seen leave at least 1-2 finger gap. If you want to be flushed with tire, coilovers is the easiest way.

I have 195/55/15 and don't like them at all. Fat sidewalls are ugly. I'm dropped on GC's with zero gap. Next set will be 195/50/15.
