Here is the deal I just got the car and using the to lock and unlock the door works fine. I decided to push the manual lock and now the door will not open. If I use the passenger door power door lock switch you can hear the drivers door unlock but both handles don't
do anything. I figure the rod for the doors may have came loose. The whole thing is the door is closed and how the hell can remove the door panel if the door is closed.

 

Happened to me once, sounds like the power door lock rod came loose, I just had to re-tighten it (using locktite to boot) and everything is fine.

You'll need to open the door to get the door panel off in order to fix this, no question. When this happened to me, only the power door lock rod came loose and I was able to unlock the door using my keys. I'm pretty sure the rest of the lock mechanism are one piece rods and your pretty fucked if that came apart.

Ask a locksmith for advice and then DIY.

go through the trunk and try to open the door from there

No it is like the lock is stuck and the handles will not operate.

 

Go through the trunk or use a slim jim to move the rod manually.

And don't try it in a public place - I don't why, but people'll surely think you're a car thief if they see you.

 

I guess I could try the slim jim trick.
