Default HELP!! 88 Accord idle's at 500 rpm then dies!!

I need your help! My car has a low idle and dies at a stop. When I let off the gas pedal it drops to 500 rpm then slowly dies. Anyone have any suggestions on what it could be. I pretty much know nothing about the car but would at least like try and fix it. THANKS!!!

Fuel Injected or Carb?
If carb, try checking your idle screw.

go check out http://www.3geez.com...

check your fuel filter(s)... the carbed car has 2, the PGMFI car has one...

here's some induction type specific solutions...
if it's fuel injected, you probably have a problem with your IAC valve... if carbed, your fuel bowl volume and tour throttle stop screws...

i agree with mysterious_2...

the only "bad" 3geez i've seen were beat to ****... gotta remember how cheap these cars are to operate... most of the people that own these cars either hold some sentiment towards them or they can't afford anything else... for me it's the former... i really wish you guys would quit bashing cars that aren't brand new...

I had a 3g and it sucked. All That sentiment resulted in at least 4-5k being idiotically spent.
