Default motor question. EG

i have a 94 hatch and i was wondering if the k20 would be better than the b18c5
what time would the k20 get on the 1/4 mile? (stock)
and the time for the b18c5? (stock)

I'm not going to satisfy your bench racing questions. The question itself is a little broad. It depends on what you can afford. If you have the money, do the K series swap. But be prepared to drop a pretty penny. If you have less money to work with, do the B series. Both can be very quick. Stock for stock, obviously, the K series wins.

If money isnt an issue with you, the k motor would be the one hands down.

As for the 1/4 times...that is a question that cannot be answered because of the varables...like weight, tires, driver, etc..the list goes on.

Have you ever searched? Looked up information yourself? Anything like this?

ANY engine swap that is a change of class for the engine will need to be reffed. Understand? You can put a civic motor into a civic, it won't need to be reffed. You CANNOT put an Integra motor into a civic without reffing it however.

Give yourself an "educated guess" and use the search button.
