Default NEED HELP, INSTALLING 6X9's in 99' Si

I just bought some POLK/MOMO 6X9's for my 99' Si and I was wondering how to get the stock speaker cover off and i was wondering how to get the speakers out..... there looks like there are some clearish/white clips that are holding it down but im not sure.....

that whole plastic panel comes out. you have to take out the side grey ones first.

It's really harder than it should be. The only way to remove stock 6 x 9's is to remove both back seats, easiest to remove both back and bottom, rear side panels, back deck, and then speakers. Someone at Honda needs to pull their head out of their *** and make the speaker covers large enough to remove the speakers, currently they are not.

take the back seats out wtf...not nesscesary!

the guy who did my tint removed my panel in 5 mins and replaced it in 5 mins. I told him to leave mine off after he installed my tint so i could install my speakers wit ez...then 3 months later my car was stolen. The theives took my speakers without removing the panel (they cracked it alil). Anyway the point is the panel aint that hard to get out...jus take your time.

Most audio places will install the new speakers from inside the trunk, mounting them upwards. Saves time and headache if they ever need replacing again.
