I have a 93 honda del sol si engine type d6z6... I recently got a helix power tower and went to put it in and after wards started the car and now it revs between 2000-and 3000 rmps... I was told it was sucking to much air and it was driving my computer nuts. So i took it off and put it back to normal. now its still doing it. but it dropped a grand each.. now its 1000-2000. I was told the map sensor was bad... and if thats the case can I replace it with a 2 bar or 3 bar map sensor from msd any help would be greatly apprieciated

 

do you have any CEL?

my b16 did exactly that when i had NO map sensor.

I can unplug the map sensor and the car stops doing it... but it runs like crap. a new map sensor from autozone is 180.00 and a msd one is 60.00 thats why i wanted to know if it would work on my car...

 

LOL... I am so stupid... Check engine light..... oh my god... no i dont think its on... until i unplug the map sensor but than it stops doing it

 

just went and checked there are no cels.. and the car idles at 2500 rmps and then after a few it starts reving up and down... So i am not sure.... Someone please help
