Anyone moved back seating/steering/pedals?
Just wondering if anyone has gone through the trouble of moving back the seats and fabricating extended pedals and use steering wheel extensions to move weight towards the back for better weight balance. I've already done the normal stuff to lighten up the front and trying to see if moving the seating position is a viable option at this point. Anyone that has done it care to comment?
Based on the question, you can tell I'm not tall or have long legs.

I am having some trouble with the shifter myself. I finally got the seat/steering wheel positioned perfectly, but I have a feeling the shifter is going to be too far away (although its not in the car so I can't say for sure).
That being said, I am not that tall and I am already having shifter reach problems, I couldn't imagine this working too well with moving the pedals back as well.

Very true. I know the Integra shifters are angled back more than the Civic but I don't think this will be enough for us that have shorter arms.

i believe the pedals as a whole can be pushed towards the driver using spacers since the whole pedal bracketry is one piece. so all youll need is some spacers and longer bolts.
the wheel you can just use different spacer combinations if you use an aftermarket wheel, and depends on the wheel itself.
the shifter you can have welded with an extra bend or angle. should be simple. the crx shifter is just one angled bend backward. i had a friend reweld mine so the direction of the bend is rotated toward me, making the 5th gear distance from me less.

Look up Justin (can't remember the last name) who runs in USTCC with an EK hatch. He did some very trick stuff for moving the seats/pedals/shifter back.
one of the cars that runs in AI that I was in had the seat moved back, and the shifter used a linkage inside the car to move it backwards. I only selected gears sitting still on a dyno, but it felt like it was very positive gear engagement

I was thinking the same thing. Is there enough adjustment in the brake and clutch push rods (hydro clutch) to make up for the spacers?

Find Justin Elin on the USTCC website at P1 racing. He moved his pedals back about a foot. The new pedals use rods to operate the stock position pedals. It is very trick and apparently operated well.

Here's a quick picture of Justin's car. He says it's very comfortable to drive and shifting it feels relatively stock when on track. I've seen it up close and it's done well.

I think I'd still need the stock pedal placement even w/ that seat placement

i have moved my seat way back. im using sparco dish wheel, quick release and 50mm spacer. im tall, so i dont have to move the pedals or shifter, although i could go fo a slightly closer shifter.
