Default How do I adjust my headlights?

Hey, my driver side headlight on my 92' Civic Sedan needs adjusted badily. I have identified two adjustment bolts, w/ 8mm heads on them, they only move the sides of the lamp in and out though. I have already searched and all that good stuff but I need to know some specifics;

Is there a page in the service manual that speaks on adjusting the headlights, maybe with a diagram that points out all the possible bolts that can be used to adjust the lamp's aim?

Does anyone know if there is a way to adjust the vertical angle of the lamps?

Please try to describe the location of any adjustment bolts you referr me to, thanks!

well its kinda hard to help if you dont say what car you have but on the 92-95 if you take off the corner light theres another bolt in there.

This no-replies thing sucks. WTF!

I need to know how I am to be aiming these headlights. Whats the procedure? All the manual talks abou is where the adjustment screws are.

So you know how to adjust your lights, you just need to know what to adjust them too, right?

You use a philips head screwdriver and stock it inbetween the gears and turn them. There are two places, one for horizontal and one for vertical. You have to turn them quite a bit before they start moving.

Right! but the PIAA site talks about fog lights and driving lights. Not exactly headlights, I think I might create problems for myself following the directions most relevent to my headlights, which would be the driving light directions.

In the owner's manual? Maybe, but I've never seen a Civic Owner's manual, so I certinaly don't have it. I have a Service manual though.

Yeah, I figured that much but I was looking for the proper sequence of steps and goals for adjusting them, ya know? I remember glancing a posts a while back that said something about pulling upto a side of a building at night and parking a certain distance away and then adjusting the headlights to meet on the wall or whatever.... Thats what I recently done but now my driver's side headlight is physically inward more than the other headlight.

you said you found the side to side adjustment bolt/screw, right?

this one is near the power steering fluid tank. 8mm bolt as you said. the height adj. bolt is at the corner towards the inside of the car. mirror image on both. you do not need to remove the corner lights at all

I know about both adjustment screws for each headlight. There is no question about that, as I have said so many times before.

From the PIAA site:
"Visual aim is made with the center of the beam hot spot 1.5 inches below the lamp center at 25 feet with the lamp facing straight forward."

Their directions for the driving lights will work just the same for your headlights.
The only thing they really don't go over is the placement from left to right.
