Default What do you all think about this new F22B1 header ?

http://www.alphawerks.com/dyno...o.htm

Anyone beleive the gain ? I'm still in the market for a new header. It's a toss-up between this one and the Kamikaze 4-1.

Alphawerks advertises MUCH higher gains than Kamikaze. Peep the dyno and tell me what you think... they're claiming the gains with a stock Accord EX and just their header and exhaust.

i could be wrong but i've never seen that much gain with just a header and a exhaust. I really like how they both look though, is this a shop or some internet site?

Those gains are definitely possible, but that header doesn't look any different than other things on the market... whats the price?

You are rediculous, actually 435 dollars is very reasonable for the header. 700 for the catback is nonsense. Look at the dyno. Enough said.

i dont really consider 435 dollars to be paying out the ***. That is fairly cheap if you consider good headers. Look at DC sports SUCKS look at Greddy(i had that) SUCKS. You get what you pay for.

their dyno looks wrong, how does your fuel cutoff rpm change with just header and exhaust added on?

also, it says the dyno is with just the header, but they show the car has an exhaust afterward

header + exhaust = believeable
just header = bs

I find the gains of just that header hard to believe and untill a independant memmebr here or another forum tests and gets a repeated result only then will i even think about getting this header.

Im wondering if the stock cam will support a 2.5" collector and piping. I have a feeling you will lose power.. anyone have personal experience ?

piping isnt larger than greddy, dc, etc, just the collector is larger, and therefore wont bolt up to stock cat w/e modification

By piping I mean, from the cat back. Not primaries etc.

That's pretty good numbers for just a header & exhaust. If they're legit then buy it. They look nice at least.

an untold number of members have run 2.5" piping on "stock" engines, including cb7 with weaker f22a.......the average aftermarket exhaust from japan is 60-70mm, which is almost 2.5"....

I don't know where this rumor came from, that the stock EX header is the best, but it is simply not true. I've seen plenty of dynos showing Greddy/DC headers outperforming the stock EX one.

its just as good....most of those dynoes probably were having other mods in addition to just header....though these mods were the same w/ stock and DC/greddy pulls, those mods made differences that the aftermarket headers could take advantage of....sure, yuou might see an extra hp or two from EX => Greddy, they are not as durable or cheap as the EX header.....
