Converting a RHD JDM ITR into a LHD has anyone done this?
Converting a RHD JDM ITR into a LHD has anyone done this? I am tryng to do it but need some advice on what to do and no to do....all help is welcome also parts too
Why not just buy a USDM ITR? Some people want to buy a JDM ITR because it is RHD. But you want to convert a RHD JDM to a LHD ITR, might as well buy a USDM ITR.
Damn seems like a never ending streak of stupid questions and dumb decisions being made. Luckly the year is almost over. Ride a bike save an ITR!

Some should take time and look at his location - probably has to do with different vehicle regulations and the JDM is much cheeper than the american R's..
Not only that, RHD is stupid. I had a RHD car that was converted over, much better and safer to drive afterwards.

Finally someone that took the time, and has used his head...... Were I am located, there has been a law that banned all RHD cars. So that is the main reason for me doing it, otherwise I would have left it alone.
All I need is some advise of people who has done something like this...
There is someone that is willing to trade the parts....let's do it.

I thought they had that type of law. The car that I had converted was one built for the world market - i.e. there was no firewall swap needed, just the steering rack and various trim items. For an Integra such as yours, I would get in contact with your local frame shop (Find the one that most body shops subcontract out to, if applicable) and try asking there. The techniques used and legality thereof are probably different then ours in the continental US.

Bunch of HT flaming homos on the prowl again.
Look... easiest way is to cut a deal with someone that has a LHD R that CAN convert to RHD w/o issues... you'll be needing LOTS of parts... not just a steering rack and odds and ends. You'll end up needing clutch and brake lines and various other parts... even the brake and clutch MC's are slightly different if I saw right. Your firewall should be just about identical. What year is it ?
BTW... don't forget, your head lights will still be pointed in the 'wrong' direction.

maybe stating your actual location will help you find somebody willing to swap parts
somebody just did a lhd to rhd conversion with some pictures on here and they made it look not to hard, his car is white and yellow now
you would just be swapping all the lhd and rhd specific parts

Here's a post from a guy who converted a salvaged USDM ITR from LHD to RHD with a JDM ITR front clip: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1072221
Hope this gives you some kinda' idea what you'll be up against.

if you can find a front clip of a lhd integra.(does not have to be itr), you should have all the parts you need to convert. the link above is one of the simplest way i have seen it done.
btw care to tell us what country are you from?

this is coming from a person who stalks women and terrorizes them.
this is coming from a person who rode around with 50k miles on his car before a his first valve adjustment ever on the car.
this is coming from a person who is rebuilding an ITR without a garage.
... yeah, i'd say you are well qualified to flame him.
