go grap a voltameter or and start following the wires back to the harness, it could also be that the bulbs are burnt out or the fuses are shot.if that doesnt work oh well only drive during the day when you dont need running lights

Do your instrument cluster lights work? I've had a problem in the past with the fuse popping (on an '88 CRX Si). That fuse, on my car at least, ran the instrument lights, the parking (corner) lights, and the taillights.

I never did completely figure out what the problem was, but I suspect water getting in the taillights. When it got wet out, I'd have a problem.

check to see if you have a dual filament bulb in there. Sometimes people replace the brake lights with a single filament bulb which will only light up when you push on the brake, The bulb you need in there is a 2057 which if you look at the bottom has 2 contacts on the bottom. Some people use a 1156 bulb which is wrong but looks the same besides the dual contacts/filament. Try that and if you still have a problem, look into your fuses and wiring.
