Default guages? accuracy?

I am planning on getting a few 52mm guages. I have looked at a few brand and the price differences are huge, a greddy EGT is $140 where a glowshift EGT is like $40.

So is this like the nike thing? Becuase it says greddy it costs a shitton more, or is there some magic thing that makes the greddy better?

there are 2 different types of O2 sensors, there is a narrowband and a wideband. Narrow band sensors have an output of 0-1 volt and anything above or below .5 volts is either lean or rich. A wideband O2 sensor uses a 0-5 volt signal and is linear aka 10:1=0 volts 15:1=2.5 volts 20:1=5 volts, this way you can see what yuor actual a/f ratio is and not if it is lean or rich. Glowshift only makes narrowband guages...

hope you guys know, just because the gauges look good doesn't mean the calibration of the gauge is good. Someone needs to compare readings with two seperate brand of gauges.

For now, I only trust in Autometer and I understand some of us don't.

dude anybrand that has a a/f guage that doesnt state that it is wideband, its not just glowshift, will do nothing for you, all it will show is some pretty lights flashing back and forth.

i bought my used plx m-300 for 230 shipped so you can get them for a decent price, but YOU HAVE TO HAVE A WIDEBAND TO TUNE, its essential

For an a/f gauge you will need a wideband, and these are not cheap.

For other gauges autometer will be just fine, look at what all the nhra guys are using, not saying this means there accurate but if they were not, a lot of guys would be using something different.
