turboing a lude
i've heard that you have to remove your air conditioning system from your car in order to make room for the turbo kit, if i bought a turbo kit for my car would i have to remove any parts like the ac or the powersteering?
Hmmm......well, if you buy a manifold that is AC compatible, then you won't have to remove the AC. If you buy one that is not AC compatible, then you'll have to remove it. You'll also more than likely have some AC lines very close to some exhaust piping, so you'll have to protect those lines...

I went with a custom manifold and I kept my AC. Too bad I learned the hard way just how hot the manny gets!! haha ,mind you that was about 5 or 6 years ago...nothing is more frightening than having you hood off and seeing a nitors purge valve releasing then realising that you don't have nitrous!!!
anyway, Myine is a log style manny like the Fmax...works fine, but I just used some extra heat wrap and reflective coating around the lines closest to the manny.

building up your motor is not necessary for adding a turbo, plenty of people have successfully ran at a safe psi without build ups. of course a proper build up will allow you to run at higher psi though.
to the poster, as others have mentioned - you dont have to lose you ac or ps when adding a turbo, it will largely depend on the manifold you decide to go with.
