Default Cam Gear Install Question Quick Help Needed

okay i am isntalling a new cam gear on my d16z6, i have already taken the head apart and have the old cam gear off, now the probelm is the little pin that keeps the cam gear and camshaft spinning together wont come out of the stock cam gear. Should it pop out or do i have to buy anew one from a dealership, i need my car running before i leave for college, thanks guys

the small key for the keyway you're talking about I assume. It should come out with the stock cam gear. I can't remember if aftermarket ones are supposed to come with a new key or not.

Keyway and cam gear are one piece. You must purchase a new keyway or find one.
