ok so im installing a shift lite into my 91 ls, it is mounted in the place of the cigar lighter, its a 3 wire hook up power, ground, and tach wire, i am really confused about wich wire to splice into by the ecu ? does any one know this, or does any one have a pic of a b18a ecu (plug side) and that could post it with a little dot on the pin that i need to use? please any help at all would be great i am completely stuck on this and there isnt anything i can do untill i get this last wire hooked up

 

when i did mine, tapped into the blue wire with silver paint stripes on it that is behind the guage cluster. i dont know if it is the same on your year car. If your car is OBD1 (gray plug) the rpm signal is third pinnout from the right on plug A in the top row. If it is OBD0 (yellow/clear plug) it is plug B third from right on the top row. remember this is all on the ecu side.

wich pin would it be, if you scroll down the page alittle you will find the ecu for my car if you could put a dot or something on the wire i shold tap into it would help out alittle more

thanks guys i just went ahead and spliced into the blue wire on the distributor and tie strapped the wire to my amp power wire and ran it str8 through the hole i had drilled for that..
