ITR seats or GSR seats?
A stranger I met last week asked me if i wanna trade my 2001 ITR seats with his brand new GSR Leather seats.
I actually like leather seats, but GSR's seats are thin and hard.
Wat u guys think?

Considering I've had both I like the ITR seat better. Not because there "ITR" but they feel more comfortable to me. But as someone said it's totally up to you what you do to your car but remember this if you ever want to go back it's going to be hard to find or very expensive.

The GSR seats were made firmer then the ITRs due to the suspension is softer.
I read that in a acura brochure somewhere a long time ago.</TD></TR></TABLE>
i concur.... the bottom seat cushions were designed softer because of the suspension....

Leather sucks IMHO. Cold as hell in the winter and really hot in the summer. Plus, if you're into racing, prepare to slide around a lot. Leather is hardly good for anything other than BLING BLING.
Those comments about the seat foam being firmer and this and that may very well be true, but also look at the bolstering. I think it may be slightly different. Also the most crusial, selling point for me would be the fact that any high speed antics in your car while sitting in a leather seat is going to equal you slipping and slidding all over the leather seat. For me, this resultet in me trying to stable myself by gripping the wheel that much harder, locking me arms that much longer and using the 'dead pedal' that much more. It's no fun. See sig. I've owned three GS-R's.
From a performance stand point, Leather = G@yn3ss. Now granted there are some "performance" inspired leather racing seats out there, but come on, how often do we see these seats in performing cars at the tracks? I feel leather bucket seats are more for the old ****** with deep pockets that simply wants the racing bucket look, but the feel of leather, and ultimately: rarely tracks his exotic or whatever his poison may be.
Aloha,
Brandon

I've sat on GSR seats for the past 3 years and ITR seats for the past 2 months. I'm never going back to GSR seats. I slide around in them too much or maybe my butt is just too small. They get firmer with time also. *rubs the behind* ITR all the wayyyyyyyyy
